The 2012 Festival Starts Today!

Lomond Folk Festival - FridayCallooh Callay, the 2012 Lomond Folk Festival is upon us already (where did all the time go?!)

The first music event takes place at The Gateway Centre at Loch Lomond Shores today at 7:30pm (doors 7pm) those with VIP tickets have entry to the soundcheck from 5pm onwards, entrey is from the right hand door, nearest the Loch. At the venue you can also pick u some of our brand new fancy-dan merchendise like t-shirts & hoodies in not-the-usual colours and pin badges of our new logo, which all look fantastic (if we do say so ourselves).

Tickets for tonights show, which features The Iain Anderson Ceilidh Band supported by The Mary K Burke Band, are priced at £10 and are available from the Moss o’ Balloch Festival Office (’til 5pm), Loch Lomond Gift House on Balloch Road (’til approx 5:30pm) or The Gateway Centre its self (’til 4:45pm) or for you brave hardy souls who like to take risks any remaining tickets will be available on the door after 7pm. Tickets for tonights show are £10.

The campsite at Moss o’ Balloch is open for loading at 3pm ’til 6pm this evening, pre-booking has now closed, we have plenty of space for tents of all sizes but campers/caravan space is VERY limited so get along as early as possible to avoid disappointment, we cannot garuntee you a space if you haven’t pre-booked.

If you’re stuck at home or at work you can hear wee snippets during the day on Your Radio & a live interview with us on Fred MacAuley’s show on BBC Scotland!

A final thanks to all & the festival comittee hope to see you all soon, come along and say hello to all the comittee & volunteers who will be happy to help with any questions or problems you may have. If you’re online during the festival don’t forget to leave us a message, tag yourself in or send a photo on Facebook or Twitter using @lomondfolkfest or #LomondFF.

The sun is shining already in Balloch! Enjoy.
